Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 624 in Nueces County, TX on June 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8 p.m. A Hyundai Accent operated by a 46-year-old Corpus Christi man reportedly suffered a tire blowout. Investigators allege that the driver took faulty evasive action that led to the vehicle traveling into a median embankment. It flipped, causing serious injuries to a passenger, 30-year-old Gilberto Saenz. The driver was less seriously injured and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
