What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at FM 2920 in Tomball, TX on October 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:51 a.m. According to investigators, a Land Rover Discovery operated by 44-year-old Gilianne Bijoux was headed eastbound on FM 2920. Traveling westbound was a Chevrolet Traverse, operated by 51-year-old Marcelino Jimenez. Officials allege the Traverse failed to yield before turning left into the path of the approaching Land Rover. The vehicles collided before the Land Raver was also struck by an eastbound Honda Accord. The crash left a passenger in the Traverse, identified as 45-year-old Ruth Hernandez, with serious injuries, police say. Bijoux had non-life-threatening injuries, police say while Jimenez was evaluated for possible injuries. Reports show a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued against Jimenez.
