What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials identified the person killed in a crash at US 287 in Childress County, TX on September 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:15 p.m.  Investigators say an SUV towing a U-Haul trailer operated by 57-year-old Gladys Roath was headed northwest on US 287 when it lost control after fishtailing. The vehicle went into a skid over a center median before overturning. Roath suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
