What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials identified the person killed in a collision at US Hwy 69 in Tyler County, TX on November 16th, 2021. They say the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. A motorcycle operated by 36-year-old Glenn Matthews was reportedly headed southbound on Hwy 69 when attempted to pass another vehicle ahead. A Toyota headed eastbound on FM 256 is said to have entered the intersection with Hwy 69 as the bike was attempting to pass the other vehicle and the bike is said to have lost control, hitting the Toyota. Matthews was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries that he died from shortly after. Additional information was not available.
