Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 290 in Chappell Hill, TX on May 15th, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 7:59 p.m. Police say the incident involved a tractor-trailer operated by a 30-year-old Houston man headed eastbound on US 290 in a right lane as it approached the intersection with FM 1155. The truck is accused of failing to control its speed and colliding with the rear of a GMC truck stopped at a red light. A 51-year-old passenger in the tractor-trailer and a passenger in the GMC, identified as 46-year-old Grace Rodriguez, both suffered minor injuries.
