What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a woman I-20 in Nolan County, TX on June 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by 36-year-old Graciela Aguirre was in an eastbound lane of a travel in an inside lane. At the same time, a tractor-trailer operated by a 60-year-old Hartselle, AL man was in an outside lane. The tractor-trailer made what police considered to be an unsafe lane change, forcing the Chevrolet to take evasive action to avoid a collision. The Chevrolet lost control in the process, hit a guard rail and spin into the tractor-trailer, overturning in the process. Aguirre suffered serious injuries and her passenger suffered minor injuries. The Hartselle man and his passenger were uninjured and he was issued a Changing Lanes When Unsafe charge.
