Area authorities are investigation a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 80 in Caldwell County, TX on April 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:21 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 87-year-old Guadalupe Martinez was headed southwest, approaching a stop sign at the intersection with Toll 130. Authorities allege the vehicle may have missed the stop sign before colliding with a commercial truck at the intersection. The collision left Martinez with fatal injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 60-year-old Raquel Gutierrez Martinez, suffered minor injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
