What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured a woman at I-45 in Montgomery County, TX on November 20th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 31-year-old League City man was headed northbound on I-45 when, according to investigators, it failed to control its speed. It then struck the rear of a Hyundai operated by 56-year-old Guadalupe Rodriguez. The impact pushed the Hyundai into the Mercedes ahead of it, operated by 79-year-old Joyce Edna Milam. Milam was not injured. A 21-year-old woman in the Hyundai and the truck driver were evaluated for possible injuries. Rodriguez suffered minor injuries. Officers recommended and/or issued Failure to Control Speed, Driving While License Invalid and Operating Vehicle Displaying Improperly Used Temporary Tag charges against the League City driver.
