Area authorities are investigating a collision that killed a driver at US 77 in San Patricio County, on May 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:36 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet C2500 operated by 44-year-old Gwendolynn Diane Phillips was headed northbound on US 77 as it approached a concrete pump truck also headed northbound. Investigators say the Chevrolet collided with the rear of the concrete truck under unclear circumstances. Phillips suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The other driver was not injured.
