What Happened

Police have information on a crash that injured a motorcyclist at Hazel St and 19th St in Beaumont, TX on September 11th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. According to investigators, a  motorcycle was traveling eastbound before colliding with a utility pole. Officials say the pole had previously been struck by a school bus, causing it to brake and attach to another vehicle. This was when the motorcycle struck the pole, police say, the impact leaving 53-year-old motorcyclist, Heather Kitchens, seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
