What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at TX 154 in Wood County, TX on May 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:04 p.m. According to investigators, a Buick Lacrosse operated by 61-year-old Hiija Page was headed northbound on FM 14, approaching the intersection with TX 154. Police say the vehicle failed to yield right of way and continued northbound, colliding with a Nissan Rogue operated by a 53-year-old Royse City man. Page was seriously injured in the collision while the Royse City man was not injured. Reports indicate Page was issued a Failure to Yield at Stop Intersection citation/charge.
