Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 313 in Brownsville, TX on December 26th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:52 a.m. A Ford F-150 operated by 31-year-old Hiram Alejandro Lopez was headed southbound on FM 313 when investigators believe it failed to control its speed and crashed into a metal light post. The impact caused the vehicle to rotate into a chainlink fence before it rolled over, causing serious injuries the Lopez. Records indicate a charge of Driving While Intoxicated was recommended and/or issued.
