Area authorities have information on a collision that injured a driver at 25th Ave in Amarillo, TX on September 24th, 2021. Police say it happened around 7:43 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 71-year-old Duncanville man was at a stop sign at the intersection of SW 25th and Grand when it began to reverse. A Toyota Camry operated by 49-year-old Holly Thomas was stopped behind the truck at the time and was struck by the tractor-trailer as it reversed. Thomas suffered minor injuries while the truck driver was not injured. Police cited the driver for Backing Without Safety.
