Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at County Rd 311 in Brazoria County, TX. on May 31st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Sierra operated by a 64-year-old Lovelady man was headed northwest on County Rd 311 at the time. Police allege the vehicle failed to yield during a left turn, colliding with a motorcycle operated by 24-year-old Hunter Gartman. Police further allege the driver of the GMC was intoxicated at the time, recommended and/or issuing a Driving While Intoxicated charge against the driver. Gartman suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Police did not disclose additional information.
