Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-10 in Jefferson County, TX on May 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Pathfinder operated by 22-year-old Hunter Wilburn was headed eastbound on I-10 when it collided with a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Police say the vehicle was disabled after running out of gas and had active hazard lights. Wilburn, who officers allege was intoxicated while driving, suffered serious injuries. Records indicate a Driving While Intoxicated-Open Container charge was recommended and or issued.
