What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured a driver I-30 in Dallas, TX on October 3rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:07 a.m. A Hyundai Elantra operated by 22-year-old Ise Dagnon Toyi was headed eastbound on the turnpike as it approached a firetruck blocking the two right lanes ahead due to a previous crash. Investigators say the Hyundai failed to slow down or move over for the emergency vehicle and collided with the passenger side of the truck. The impact pushed the Hyundai into a nearby concrete wall and Toyi suffered serious injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
