Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-45 in Rice, TX on July 1st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:47 p.m. According to investigators, a Saturn Vue operated by 34-year-old Jack Burleson was headed northbound behind a tractor-trailer operated by a 41-year-old Dallas man. Investigators allege the Saturn was attempting to pass the truck before it collided with the rear of the truck, causing Burleson serious injuries. The Dallas man was not injured.
