Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 290 in Kimble County, TX on April 10th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:19 p.m. According to police, a tractor-trailer operated by a 56-year-old Greenwood, SC man was headed eastbound on US 290. At the same time, a GMC Sierra operated by 80-year-old Jack Wayne Phillips was headed northbound on RR 479. Police allege one of the two vehicles failed to come to a stop at the intersection, causing a collision between the two. Authorities believe Phillips suffered injuries that were serious in nature.
