What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured several people at Pecan Park Blvd in Austin, TX on March 25th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:02 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 22-year-old Austin man proceeded into an intersection where it was struck by a Porsche Macan operated by a 56-year-old Austin woman. Officials allege the driver of the truck stated the vehicle had brake malfunction, causing it to travel into the intersection on a red light while attempting to break. The collision between the vehicles caused a GMC Denali and a Toyota Tundra operate day 31-year-old Jacob Fritsch to crash as well. Police say Fristch had serious injuries. Two other drivers had minor injuries as well as two passengers among the vehicles. The Austin man was not injured, according to police and was cited for Running a Red Light.
