Authorities in Franklin County, TX, are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on January 1, 2025, at approximately 4:40 a.m. on State Highway 37. Authorities are saying a Buick Envision was traveling north at an unsafe speed when it failed to maintain a single lane, left the roadway, struck a culvert headwall, and overturned. All three occupants—including 22-year-old passenger Jacobi Bursey, the 22-year-old driver and a second passenger—were properly restrained and sustained fatal injuries.
