Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a person at University Ave in Lubbock, TX on July 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened 8:09 a.m. A motorcycle operated by 41-year-old Jade Blossom is said to have been headed northbound on University when it allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with a Mack truck at the intersection. Blossom suffered fatal injuries while a passenger, 35-year-old Kristi Elkins, suffered serious injuries. The truck driver was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
