What Happened

Arlington Police are investigating a collision that killed two people at Lamar Blvd in Arlington, TX on December 15th, 2024. Police say the incident happend around 11:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu headed eastbound on Lamar Blvd is alleged to have left the roadway before striking two pedestrians and fleeing the scene. Both pedestrians, identified as 22-year-old Jahlil Kirkland and 23-year-old Kiara Valdez, were fatally injured. Police identified the driver as 33-year-old Nathan Vaughan and reports indicate tow counts of Collision Involving Death were recommended and/or filed. Authorities did not have additional information was not available.
