Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 83 in Penitas, TX on August 31st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:21 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord operated by a 49-year-old Cuenitas man was headed eastbound in US 83 when it failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a Nissan Murano stopped at a red light. The impact pushed the Nissan into another stopped vehicle, leaving the Nissan operator, 61-year-old Jaime Guerrero, with serious injuries. The Honda left the scene without stopping to exchange information or render possible aid.
