What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-45 in Dallas, TX on September 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:18 p.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by 19-year-old Alfredo Jimenez was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when, according to police, it failed to control its speed and collided with a GMC Sierra operated by 55-year-old Jaime Medina. The impact pushed the Sierra into a tractor-trailer, causing serious injuries to Medina. Jimenez was also seriously injured. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
