What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person and injured another at Park Blvd and Shiloh Rd in Plano, TX in November 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:06 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Scion operated by 21-year-old Cesar Avelar Sanchez was headed eastbound on Park Blvd at an alleged high rate of speed prior to losing control. The vehicle is said to have traveled over a curb and hit a cable box before traveling airborne and landing into a tree. The vehicle traveled a short distance further into another tree, ejecting Sanchez from the vehicle and causing fatal injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 22-year-old Jaime Santos Recinos, was seriously injured. Officials had no additional information to share.
