Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 79 in Panola County, TX on June 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:52 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 31-year-old Sibley, LA man is alleged to have failed to remain in its lane before crossing into oncoming traffic and colliding with a Nissan Quest. The driver of the Nissan, identified as 88-year-old James Alton Youngblood. Youngblood suffered serious injuries in the crash. The Sibley man was also seriously injured, according to police. A Failure to Drive in Single Lane charge was recommended and/or issued.
