What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at US 287 in Midlothian, TX on October 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:17 a.m. According to investigators, a bus was attempting to turn across the highway to perform a turn around. The vehicle proceeded into the path of an approaching Buick SUV, the two vehicles colliding in the process. Reports say the driver of the Buick, identified as 34-year-old Anthony Castillo, had non-life-threatening injuries, as did the bus operator. A second Buick passenger, identified as 51-year-old James Castillo, had more serious injuries, reports say. Additional information was not immediately available.
