What Happened

Area authorities have identified the man killed in a collision at  TX 21 in Nacogdoches County, TX on February 3rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:25 p.m. and involved a disabled Jeep SUV in a westbound lane. Investigators say 68-year-old James Curtis Henry was attempting to help the driver with the Jeep when he was struck by a Chevrolet passenger vehicle attempting to avoid crashing into the Jeep. Henry was taken to an area hospital and died from his injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet, 20-year-old Jessie Jacobs, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
