Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured several people involved at US 81 in New Fairview, TX on October 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Durango operated by 76-year-old James Gautney was northbound on US 81 before attempting to turn left at a crossover from a center line. The vehicle is said to have entered into the path of an approaching tractor-trailer, the two vehicles colliding in the process. Officials say two occupants of the Dodge were seriously injured.
