Authorities have information on a crash that killed a driver at US 59 in Panola County, TX on June 26th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:55 p.m. According to investigators, a northbound Dodge Ram 3500 was nearing an intersection at County Rd 301 as a Kia Sedona traveled westbound. Reports alleged the Kia may have missed a posted stop sign before proceeding into the intersection, where it was struck by the approaching Dodge. The impact is said to have caused both vehicles to leave the roadway, the impact leaving 43-year-old Kia operator, James Hicks, fatally injured.
