What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that injured a person at FM 51 in Wise County, TX on October 26th, 2022. Police are currently saying it happened around 5:45 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Sonic operated by an unnamed 20-year-old Allen, TX woman was headed northbound on FM 51 as a motorcycle operated by 55-year-old James Hudgins was headed southbound. As the Chevrolet turned left onto FM 455, police allege it failed to yield while doing so, saying the motorcycle to strike the front passenger side of the vehicle. The impact caused serious injuries Hudgins while the Allen woman was uninjured. Officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge against the Allen woman.
