What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at  State Hwy 94 in Trinity County, TX on August 17th, 2021. Police say it happened around 5 p.m. A Ford F-150 operated by 76-year-old James Hughie Golden Jr was headed eastbound on TX 94 when it veered from the road into a ditch. Upon exiting, the truck veered onto the wrong side of the road, crashing into a Dodge Ram operated by 31-year-old Richard Herring. The Dodge then overturned into a ditch, causing Herring serious injuries. Golden suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Additional information was not available.
