What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed three people at FM 327 near Silsbee, TX on February 2nd, 2024. Officials say it happened around 6:45 p.m. Reports allege a Saturn Ion, operated by 50-year-old Brenon Proulx, was westbound on FM 327 before veering into eastbound lanes. There, reports say the vehicle struck a pair of motorcycles headed eastbound. The drivers of the motorcycles, identified as 39-year-old James Means and 37-year-old Allen Wesenberg, were both killed. An 11-year-old girl riding as passenger on one of the motorcycles was also killed. A 7-year-old motorcycle passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries, reports say. Reports also say Proulx was arrested on intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault charges. Additional information was not available.
