What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured a driver at 26th St in Houston, TX on October 11th, 2021. Police say it happened around 1:57 a.m. Investigators believe a Nissan Versa Note headed northbound on Bevis St disregarded a stop sign and collided with a Chrysler Pacifica headed westbound on 26th St. The driver of the Versa, 20-year-old James Porter Lee, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the Chrysler, 36-year-old Murad Aliyey, was evaluated for possible injuries. Officers say there was reason to suspect intoxication on the part of Lee and suggested and/or issued a DWI charge.
