Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 46 in Boerne, TX on May 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:03 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Colorado operated by a 43-year-old Boerne man was reportedly attempting to merge lanes on westbound River Road when it collided with a Ford Escape operated by 79-year-old James Thompson. The impact caused Thompson minor injuries while his passenger, 75-year-old Joanne Thompson, was evaluated for possible injuries. The Boerne man was not injured and charged with Intoxication Assault.
