What Happened

Area authorities have information about an incident that injured a person at West Rd and Post Oak Rd in Crosby County, TX on June 13th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. 34-year-old Cody Alan Carnes was operating a 2017 Polaris Ranger when one of his passengers, 28-year-old Jared Waylon Ashley, reportedly stood up. Police say Carnes and the other passengers asked Ashley to sit back down as the vehicle was coming to a stop. Ashley, who the other passengers reportedly alleged was intoxicated, fell out of the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. None of the other occupants were injured and police say that Carnes was not intoxicated at the time of the incident.
