What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at FM 450 in Harrison County, TX on April 28th, 2023. Police say the crash happened around 4:48 p.m. Investigators allege the motorcycle, operated by 55-year-old Jason Butler, was headed southwest, approaching a curve in the roadway. The vehicle is said to have lost control on the partially damp roadway and veered into a nearby ditch. After going into a skid, the vehicle slid sideways into a road sign, throwing Butler from the bike. Police say Butler was pronounced dead at the scene and had no additional information to share.
