Officials are saying the incident happened around 11:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Escape was eastbound on Hwy 45 before the driver's cellphone allegedly fell to the floor. As they were retrieving the phone, reports say the vehicle veered from its lane and into a nearby barrier. While attempting to return to the road, authorities say the vehicle overcorrected and veered across multiple lanes of travel into an opposite shoulder, overturning into a divider.
