What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 83 in Uvalde County, TX on June 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:58 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 23-year-old Javier Garza was headed northbound before allegedly losing control and going into a skid. The vehicle went into a southbound lane, according to police, before it collided with a Ford Bronco Sport with four passengers. Police say all four passengers had serious injuries, including 28-year-old driver,  Jacqueline Cabralez and 53-year-old front seat passenger, Dolores Cabralez. Garza suffered fatal injuries in the crash, according to police. Additional information was not available.
