What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at Placido Pena Rd in Starr County, TX on February 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:49 a.m. A Ford F-150 operated by 26-year-old Javier Ramirez was headed westbound on Placido Rd before veering north. The vehicle attempted to correct back onto the road before veering south and colliding with a tree, going into a skid and striking a second tree. Ramirez suffered serious injuries in the crash. A charge for Failure to Drive in Single Lane was recommended or issued.
