Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 55 in Real County, TX on February 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:16 a.m. Officers say a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 32-year-old Jay Rodriguez was headed southbound on Hwy 55 when it lost control at a curve and crashed into a guardrail. The vehicle then went into s skid and rotated, overturning several times down an embankment. Responding officers allege alcohol was found at the scene and say Rodriguez suffered serious injuries he later died from. Additional information was not immediately available.
