Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-45 in Huntsville, TX on May 21st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:18 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Expedition operated by a 21-year-old Buffalo, TX man was headed northbound on I-45, approaching a turnover at an alleged high rate of speed. The vehicle struck a warning sign and veered from the road into a ditch before overturning onto Hwy 75. A passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old Jaylon Strawther, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. The Buffalo man, who officers allege suspicion of consuming alcohol prior to driving, was also seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
