What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at North General McMullen Dr in San Antonio, TX on July 27th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 12:49 a.m. According to investigators, a Lexus GS was traveling northbound on General McMullen, allegedly at a speed at or above highway speeds. The vehicle is alleged to have run a red light before colliding with an eastbound Chevrolet Trax at the West Commerce intersection. The impact is said to have pushed the Chevrolet into a Dodge Avenger, stopped at a nearby red light. Police say the drover of the Dodge, who was not identified as well 23-year-old Chevrolet passenger, Jazmin Navarro Ibarra, had injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature. The driver of the Chevrolet, also not identified, as more seriously injured, police say. Sources indicate a charge of Intoxication Assault was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Lexus.
