What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Airport Freeway in Bedford, TX on January 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:06 p.m. Investigators say a motorcycle operated by 35-year-old Jeff Hsiao was traveling eastbound on Hwy 183 in an outside lane. In the center lane was a Dodge Dart operated by a 33-year-old Fort Worth woman. The Dodge is said to have performed a lane change and while attempting to avoid striking the Dodge, the motorcycle took evasive action police believe to be faulty before they collided. The collision ejected Hsiao from the vehicle, causing fatal injuries. The Fort Worth woman was not injured and police did not have additional information to share.
