What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-10 in Vidor, TX on October 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:04 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 34-year-old Stafford, VA man was headed westbound when it failed to control its speed, colliding with the rear of a Ford F-150 operated by a 76-year-old Orange, TX man. The impact pushed the Ford into a barrier wall before it spin back into traffic lanes and struck a motorcycle operated by 41-year-old Jeffrey Carl Oliver. Oliver suffered serious injuries while the Orange man was less seriously injured. The Stafford man was not injured and cited for Failure to Control Speed.
