Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at  I-35 in Georgetown, TX on July 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:43 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Titan operated by a 38-year-old male was towing a trailer while headed southbound on I-35. At some point, the truck veered from its lane for unknown reasons into a shoulder before colliding with the rear of a parked, unoccupied tractor-trailer. The impact caused fatal injuries to a passenger in the Nissan, identified as 37-year-old Jeffrey Robert Bielec. The driver was seriously injured.
