What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at County Rd 120 in Hale County, TX on November 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:47 p.m. A Toyota Highlander operated by 27-year-old Jennifer Ann Choate was reportedly headed eastbound on County Rd 120 when it veered from the road unto a ditch. Investigators say the vehicle spun counterclockwise and rolled over before landing back on its wheels and coming to rest in an east side barrow ditch near FM 400. Responding officers say that Choate, who was seriously injured, allegedly admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the crash.
