Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a person at US 290 in Fayette County, TX on June 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7:18 a.m. A Peterbilt 579 operated by a 67-year-old Carmine man reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic at a yield sign intersection when it collided with a Toyota Camry operated by 30-year-old Jeremy Becker. Becker suffered minor injuries in the collision. The truck driver was charged with Failure to Yield at Yield Intersection.
