What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at I-35E in Hill County, TX on February 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:24 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tundra operated by 31-year-old Jason Nathaniel Brock was headed southbound on I-35E behind a tractor-trailer that was slowing for ice on the bridge. Police say the truck collided with the rear of the tractor-trailer before spinning out of control and becoming disabled in a left lane. A second tractor-trailer behind the Tundra then collided with the truck, causing Brock minor injuries. His passenger, 31-year-old Jeremy Howard Brock, suffered more serious injuries, as did an 8-year-old passenger. Two others, ages 9 and 14, were evaluated for possible injuries. The other two drivers were not injured.
