What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are looking into a crash that killed three people at  I-40 in Carson County, TX on March 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a Chevrolet Traverse collided with the rear of a semi-truck that was slowing due to a crash ahead. The occupants of the Traverse, 43-year-old Jeremy Lewis, 18-year-old Benjamin Lewis and a 12-year-old child, all died at the scene. The truck driver, 25-year-old Yasir Yahya, was not injured.
